In collaborations with Prof. Xiao-Peng Xing from Tongji University, Prof. Wan-Lu Li from UCSD, Prof. Detlef Schooss and Prof. Manfred M. Kappes from Karlsruhe institute of technology, and Prof. Lai-Sheng Wang from Brown University, we discovered a novel bismuth cluster---Bi18-, which exhibits no ob-servable reactivity toward O2.
